WELCOME TO THE HOME OF BERNE UNION FOOTBALL

Thank you for supporting Berne Union High School Football.  The Berne Union Football team aims to create a LEADER out of each and every player.

They show Love, Effort, Attitude(positive), Discipline, intEgrity, and Respect. Our program works to instill these qualities year round as well as help them be successful in all other extra-curriculars a player chooses to participates in.

In the past 7 years, under Coach Hurps, Rockets football has also had great success on the field posting a 42-31 record with 2 MSL titles, 5 playoff appearances, 3 playoff victories, and 1 undefeated regular season. We currently have 3 former players playing football at the collegiate level, and 1 playing basketball.

Dylan Finefrock Named to Academic All-Ohio Football Team

Dylan Finefrock's success extended beyond the football field and into the classroom during his career at Berne Union High School.

Finefrock was one of just 273 football players statewide selected to the Ohio High School Football Coaches Association Academic All-Ohio Team for 2025, an honor that recognizes excellence in both athletics and academics.

To qualify as an individual, nominees have to be seniors, be first team all-district, or first team all-conference, or first team All-Area and have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.60. All selections require verification from the high school principal.

Dylan's selection highlights his dedication, discipline, and commitment to excellence both on the field and in the classroom.

"Why Football Matters" - John Harbaugh
An open letter written by John Harbaugh that explains why a young man needs football. I cannot say it any better so I have attached the entire letter for you to read if you want. I will leave you with one insert from his letter.

"Have you ever met anybody who accomplished playing four years of high school football, and at the end of that run said, 'Man, I wish I wouldn't have played'? It doesn't get said."
